Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ninth installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today, here’s how you can check the status, eligibility and other details.
The ninth installment of the financial benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in a virtual meeting. The event was attended by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and PM Modi also interacted with the beneficiaries of the scheme. PM Modi released the eighth installment of the financial benefit of PM-Kisan Yojna in May this year.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, more than 9.75 crore beneficiary farmer families will receive the transfer amount of more than Rs 19,500 crore in their bank accounts.
What is PM-Kisan Yojna?
PM-Kisan Yojna is a central government scheme launched by the Narendra Modi-led government in 2018 to help the farmers of the country. Under this scheme, the government provides income support of Rs 6,000 per annum to all the eligible farmer families. The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers in three equal installments each year.
Here’s how beneficiaries can check the status of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 9th installment:
Step 1: You need to go to the official website of the government https://pmkisan.gov.in/ and then go to the home page.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option. You will get the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option on the top right side of the website.
Step 3: You will see three options i.e. Aadhaar number, account number and mobile number. You need to select any one of these options.
Step 4: Now, click on the ‘Get Data’ option from the drop-down menu and the data will appear for you. You will get all the required information on your screen regarding PM Kisan Samman Nidhi ninth installment.
Who are covered under PM-Kisan Yojna?
Apart from landholding eligible farmer families, landholding farmers’ families with cultivable landholding can avail the benefits of the scheme. Farmers belonging to urban and rural areas and small and marginal farmers’ families can also apply for the scheme.
All the landholding farmers’ families are given the financial benefit of Rs 6,000 p.a. per family in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each in every four months.
Here’s how you can apply for PM-Kisan Yojna:
– The farmers who want to avail the benefits of PM-Kisan Yojna should approach the local revenue officer or a nodal officer appointed by the state government.
– Farmers can also contact Common Service Centers (CSCs) who have been tasked to do the registration process for the PM-Kisan Yojna upon payment of fees.
– Self-registration can also be done through the Farmers Corner present on the PM-Kisan portal. You will need basic details such as name, gender, age, category(SC/ST), Aadhaar number and other prescribed documents for the identification.
