National Emblem
National Emblem of India is an imitation of the Ashoka pillar of Sarnath.
On the lower part of the National Emblem, there are four small animals. Out of which horses and bulls are visible from the front and lions and elephant are not.
National Emblem was adopted by the Indian government on January 26, 1950.
The inscribed radix under the National Emblem is taken from the ‘Satyamev Jayate‘ Mundak upanishad.
National Anthem
The national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana‘ was first sung in the culcutta session of the Indian national Congress on 27 Dec. , 1911.
It was adopted on 24 January, 1950 by the Indian constitution.
Its english rendering is given by Tagore.
It was composed by Rabindranath Tagore in Bangla language, the national anthem is it hindi version.
The entire song has five stanzas. Its first stanza is the full version of the national anthem.
The singing period of the full version of the national anthem is 52 seconds.
National Song
The national song Vande Mataram has been taken from the book ‘Anandamath‘ written by Bankim Chandra Chatrjee.
First time it was sung in 1896 session of the Indian national congress. Its english rendering was done by the Sri Avindo.
National Calendar
The national calendar is based on Saka Samvat and it was adopted on 22 march, 1957, chaitra is the first month of this calendar. Generally the first day of Chaitra Occurs on 22 March and on 21 March in a Leep year.
There are also 365/366 days in the national Calendar.
Chaitra month is normally of 30 days and in a leap year it is of 31 days.
National Flag
The design of the national flag was adopted on 22 july, 1947.
Its length – width ratio is 3 : 2 .
In the middle of the flag, the shape of wheel is taken from the circle formed on the Ashoka pillar at Sarnath.
Dharmachakra located in the middle of the flag, has 24 sticks.
The display of the national flag is controlled by flag code 2002, which was implemented on 26 January, 2002 .
According to the provisions of the flag code of India, 2002, excluding the extent provided in the symbols and names ( prevention of Unfair use ) Act, 1950 and national Garrison dispute prevention Act 1971 and any other law made on this subject, the general public, private organisations, educational institutions, There will be no restriction on the performance of the national flag by the members of the institutions etc.
